SIKORA AG was founded in 1973 and celebrated its 40th anniversary in 2013. Today SIKORA is a leading global manufacturer and supplier of measuring and control technology, inspection, analysis and sorting systems for the wire and cable, hose and tube as well as optical fiber and plastics industry. With 200 employees worldwide, 13 international offices and more than 30 regional representatives all over the world, the company provides customers with innovative product solutions and individual service. Products and services

SIKORA is presenting a full program of well proven and innovative non-contact measuring, control, inspection and sorting devices for quality assurance and cost reduction in the wire, cable, optical fiber and plastics industries.

The product range includes X-ray and laser devices for the measurement of the diameter, eccentricity, ovality and wall thickness. In addition, lump detectors for the detection of non-conformities on the product surface as well as devices for monitoring the cleanliness of plastic material and for temperature measurement of PE melts will be shown.

Moreover, SIKORA will showcase the PREHEATER 6000 TC, a temperature controlled conductor preheating device that assures an optimum adhesion of the PE or other plastics on the conductor.

With the PURITY SCANNER and the PURITY CONCEPT Systems, SIKORA offers a novel range of systems for 100% online inspection and sorting of plastic pellets as well as for online or offline inspection and analysis of raw material, respectively.

PURITY SCANNER

The PURITY SCANNER is a so far unique solution, which combines X-ray and optical cameras for inspection and sorting of plastic pellets, significantly increasing the quality of material and end products and saving costs. The system detects contamination from 50 μm inside the pellet and on its surface, ensuring purest material due to automated sorting, for an efficient production without time-outs and scrap. It is suitable for different applications independent of material and color.

X-RAY 6000 PRO

The X-RAY 6000 PRO is a sophisticated measuring and control system for insulating and sheathing lines. It measures diameter, wall thickness, eccentricity and ovality of wires and cables with up to 3 layers of different materials. The included ECOCONTROL 6000 shows all relevant measuring values numerically and graphically as well as trend and statistical data and becomes most efficient with the automatic control of the line speed or extruder rpm under consideration of the minimum values.

PREHEATER 6000 TC

The PREHEATER 6000 TC is an innovative conductor preheater with integrated temperature measurement and control that ensures a perfect uniform conductor temperature, an optimum adhesion of the insulation material on the conductor and ultimately increased quality and productivity in repeatable processes. With the WIRE-TEMP 6000, the non-contact conductor temperature measurement system is also available standalone for core diameters of up to 50 mm.

News & Innovations

SIKORA devices now in white color

Since the beginning of this year SIKORA has been showing itself in a new design that has been developed in the context of a uniform corporate design relaunch. With redesigning all of the communication media such as website, brochures, product advertisements or exhibition booths the claim to innovation for SIKORA products and services shall also be expressed in communication. Many customers could already receive a first impression of the new appearance during the wire show 2016 in Düsseldorf.

With the launch of the new design also the color of the SIKORA systems was changed. As the devices of the FIBER Series 6000 and LASER Series 6000 have already presented themselves in white color for some years, all the other devices will also be delivered in white color as standard from now on. In this way, the product design represents a seamless fit into the new SIKORA corporate appearance.

Using an easy navigation, the new web presence guides the visitor to the desired pages. The changing topics with large, emotional pictures on the homepage inform about industries and news about the company. Via the menu item ‘Service’ the visitor finds an overview on all SIKORA services and is directly navigated to the new support and spare part request form. The section ‘Company’ offers customers, candidates and media representatives important and clearly structured information on SIKORA. SIKORA social media channels, providing a direct connection to social networks such as Twitter, are also integrated. 

A further highlight of the new SIKORA web presence is the flexible layout. Whether PC, tablet or smartphone: the website design is responsive and adjusts automatically to every terminal and every display. Therefore, the functionality of the website remains at any situation and all information are fast, easy and user-friendly retrievable.
