Uhing, a manufacturer of mechanical linear drives and inventor of the rolling ring principle, has been a global key player in this sector for over 75 years. We can maintain this rank only because we are constantly developing and manufacturing innovative products at our Flintbek site. In our family-owned company with over 60 employees, we manufacture our products completely “Made in Germany”. With cooperation partners in more than 45 countries, we keep up contact with our customers.
Uhing will showcase the following product lines: Uhing® Rolling Ring Drives, Uhing® Linear Drive Nut, and variants of the Uhing-easylock® Tensioning and Clamping Elements. These products, developed for winding and traversing, provide solutions for your applications on plain shafts in the wire and cable sector.
Uhing Linear Drive Nut
Uhing-Linear Drive Nuts (RS) are non-positive drives which convert the rotation of a plain round shaft into linear motion. They are actuators for linear motion drives.
Their predominant areas of application are measurement and inspection technology, material handling systems, control systems and medical engineering.
Uhing-easylock®: fast action clamping system for rolls, spools, reels and static application. It is equipped with a clamping ring which tilts on the engaged shaft creating, in response to axial or tensioning forces, an increasing frictional connection. The greater the tensioning force, the greater is the clamping effect of the ring.
Uhing Rolling Ring Drive
Rolling Ring Drives are non-positive drives which convert the constant rotation of a plain round shaft into reciprocating motion. They operate like nuts on a threaded bar, however the pitch in left-hand and right-hand direction can be fine-tuned or set to zero. This effect is achieved by using ball bearing based Rolling Rings which are designed to pivot on the shaft, their specially crowned running surfaces being pressed against the shaft as it rotates.
